Ty don't really have much of a history to share. Just a simple small town boy that finally got the nerve to up and take off. He grew up in the small town of Deadwood So. Dakota, the only son of Tom and Martha Gernet.. His father Tom was the caretaker of the Local Cemetery,, yeah that infamous place where Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane rest side by side for all eternity. He enrolled in a small Community College in Rapid City S.D. where he fostered more of a desire to get away than he did for higher education. He spent most of his time wandering the Black Hills. Loving the beauty, and the serenity, camping out for the most part. Other time spent visiting Mt. Rushmore, the Crazy Horse Monument that has and will be under constrution for many years to come. But just how many times can you visit the same old places?? The highlight of every year had to be the little jaunt over to Sturgis, when all the bikers rolled into town. He always managed to hook up with some of the hot and heavy, wild and wicked Harley partiers. After all other than to show their bikes, partying was what is was all about. He loved the area, but he hated the short summers and long cold winters. On a whim one day, after hearing that his best friend Bob and his wife Jodie were going to take a trip to San Felipe Mexico. He got on the phone and pleaded and begged Bob to let him hitch a ride down with them.. After finally getting his consent. Ty quickly packed everything that he could in a large duffel bag, and of course having to bring Tuff the mutt with him,,, ran by the bank, drew out his meager savings, and hit the road with Bob and Jodie. Crossing over the border a couple of days later, they started down toward San Felipe. After partying a couple nights in one of the local cantinas, and playing tourist during the day. Bob and Jodie had to start the trek back. Ty, on another of his whims decided to hang around for awhile longer. He knew that if worse came to worse, he could always hitch a ride back to the border with someone. After a couple more days, He was befriended by a young German couple traveling Baja in a rented motorhome. They asked if he and Tuff the mutt wanted to join them, and why not?? Off they went out of San Felipe, down to the end of the paved road, onto the hard packed washboard road to Peurotocitos. Spending a short time bathing in the hot pools. They hit the ruff old road once again. A few hours later, pulling into a very secluded little bay on the shore of the Sea of Cortez. They set up their camp for the night, played in the warm water. Ty met Ramone, the old caretaker of the beach and learned about a new project coming in. Deciding this was the place he wanted to be, and with high hopes of finding a job, even a menial one of little pay when the project was started. He found a nice little spot, pitched his tent. He and Tuff just romped and played in the surf. Waiting and hoping that he would find some type of employment. After talking with the new owners of this project. Ty was able to secure the menial job as caretaker and maintenance of the new beach project...
