about standing in a forest and having these twinkles float about you.
A Detour To My House On The Beach
I first thought I pinched a nerve in my back, when the entire right side of my body went numb. Figured I carried something too heavy. Then when I started getting double vision, saw Riverdance with a cast of 60 rather than 30, I thought it was my vision...must be getting older and need glasses.Boy, was I ever wrong. After waiting a year for an MRI ~Canada is famous for waiting times~
...I was told I had multiple sclerosis~~~~
Let's understand that MS will not kill me...but...I can't walk anymore, fall alot, go to the washroom all the time, don't think I've had a full night sleep in 10 years, can not do things by myself anymore. Gee, I went to get the mail alone using my brand new scooter, the first time in over 7 years, and the sense of freedom took my breath away.
And I am lucky, my handicap is not debilitating. Yet!
I can do pretty much what I choose but it takes real planning.
I see it as a detour to get to where I am going. Takes a long, long time...with a multitude of different paths and detours along the way. But I will eventually get there.
MS is an odd chronic disease, as it effects each person differently. Some have it much more severe. Some may go their entire lives and not know they even have it. No one knows why, and no one knows the cause. So, we have to find the answers...we have to find a cure.
