Powers (if applicable): X-23's primary mutant ability is an accelerated healing factor that allows her to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissues with far greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human. Injuries such as gunshot wounds, slashes, and puncture wounds completely heal within a matter of minutes. The effects of her accelerated healing powers extend to her body's immune system, rendering her immune to disease and infection. She is also immune to most drugs and toxins, although she can be affected by certain drugs if given a sufficient dosage. Due to the effect of X-23's mutant healing factor, her physical senses, strength, stamina, agility, and reflexes are heightened to superhuman levels. X-23 possesses retractable claws sheathed within her forearms. She releases the claws through the tissue of her knuckles, leaving small wounds which are healed by her healing factor. X-23 has only two claws that emerge from her fists. She possesses a single, retractable claw housed within each foot. These claws are actually made of bone and were forcefully extracted by Zander Rice, coated with adamantium, and reinserted into her body. Only her claws were coated with the metal, as opposed to her entire skeleton, which makes her healing factor that much more potent.
Skills: Born and raised in captivity, X-23 has been trained to be a living weapon. She is highly trained in the use of long range weapons and explosives and is a formidable hand-to-hand combatant, with intensive training in numerous armed and unarmed martial arts techniques. She has also been subjected to conditioning in which a specific "trigger scent" has been used to send her into a berserker rage, killing anyone who's been exposed to it. She is also highly educated and is fluent in French, Spanish, Italian, Latin, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Ukrainian, and Polish. She has knowledge about how to crack into databases such as the FBI, CIA, and other government agencies.

History: If you ever got the impression that X-23 was anything close to normal, then you were being lied to. Most mutants would tell you that they had normal lives before their mutations manifested and dominated their lives. X can barely remember the days before she was exposed to the radiation. It was the most painful thing she had experienced in her life up to that point. She spent the day recovering and exploring these new bone claws that had emerged from her knuckles and between her toes. The very next day she was immersed in a tank and adamantium was grafted to these new claws. And that became one of the most painful experiences of her life. Thankfully her mother was there to comfort her. After that her real education began. She was taught how to be invisible if she needed to. How to kill and hide the bodies if necessary. And to slaughter hundreds of men armed to the teeth without blinking an eye. She escaped the Facility sometime during the early 2000's. And she was given four pictures. A woman, a girl, a school, and a man. She'd been able to see the family resemblance in the females almost immediately. There hadn't been time to ask about them at the time, though. Her mother was already dying in her arms and she was desperately grasping at the only bit of humanity she had ever had in her life up to that point. Then it was gone. A slaughter and escape ensued. She was out in the snow then. She'd been covered in blood, but she'd cleaned up and changed clothes. She hid out in the woods for the night, constructing a rudimentary spear before sleeping a few hours. In the morning, she had rabbit for breakfast. After that, she found a road and hitchhiked to the nearest library. She looked up her first two queries, knowing the whole time that they were related to her mother somehow. The close resemblance to the woman in the picture had to make them sisters. She tracked them to San Francisco and found them. She would fudge the facts on names because the two women were still alive, but her aunt's name was Debbie and her cousin's name was Megan. There was an attempt to recapture her in San Francisco by her handler from the facility, whose name was Kimura. Needless to say, Kimura failed. She died in the explosion of Debbie's house. Debbie and Megan escaped with X-23. Where they went after that was the kind of secret no one would ever be able to get from her via any form of torture. After that, she becomes hazy on the details. She tried to track down the school, but nothing popped up anywhere. And searching for the man at the time seemed risky to her. If Weapon X, the name of the program she'd learned from Kimura shortly before she died, had files on this man and they sensed a breech, it could be traced to her location. A couple of years passed and she gradually moved around the country. She ran various missions for various people. Each of them paid her in a variety of ways. Money, a roof over her head, or a job that was never meant to last more than a handful of months. Roughly two years after her escape, she met a man named Robert Windsor. He told her he was a doctor specializing in genetics and cloning. He never went into specifics, so she assumed he meant things like sheep and monkeys. During the time that she worked for him X found out that Dr. Windsor was also a mutant. In total she ran 40 missions for him in the year she knew him. During that time she also ran missions for others. After the year was up he simply told her that he no longer required her services. Eventually she found her way to New York. Her journey there didn't start with Wei Yu, though. He's only part of the story. Upon first arriving in New York, she helped a man named Zebra Daddy with a few of his business associates. He took her in and taught her about doing very interesting things for money. Things involving pain, and even things that most people might term as weird. After a while, she got tired of doing these things. It was not her purpose. But it seemed Zebra Daddy had some very talented friends that made sure she stayed exactly where she was. Firmly in his grasp. With some help from a few people that will remain forever nameless, she freed herself and killed Zebra Daddy and his friends to save them all. After that, she found herself alone on the streets. She slept behind dumpsters and in places most people avoided at all costs. And one night, three men stepped into an alleyway where she happened to be sleeping. Two goons, one intended victim. Only one of them would leave alive. That man's name was Wei Yu and he was part of the Golden Dragons Triad. When he asked her why she saved him, she said 'because they woke me up'. Wei Yu repaid her by giving her a place to live, and a job working for him as his personal assassin. When he tried to pay her after her first assignment from him she simply shook her head and said 'I don't need it'. So whenever Wei Yu needed someone killed he sent X-23 to do the job. After the few attempts at Alex Dubois life by X, Alex killed Wei Yu. Effectively stopping X from completing her mission. Her explanation was that a dead man could not profit from the deaths of others. The truth, which she has never told anyone, was that X let Alex live so she could use him for information at a later time. Basically because he could prove useful. Alex let her go as she was no longer a threat to him. She went to live with a young woman named Josie Beller after that who designed weapons systems. She ran a mission while there wherein she met Dante Berith for the first time. He helped her escape and then they parted ways. After that she left. She didn't fully explain why, but the truth was that she had liked Josie and didn't want to endanger her with her presence. And breaking one of her rules was unacceptable to her mind. She lived on the street for a while until one night when one of the other homeless people tried to take something of hers. She killed him and it was then that Dante Berith showed up in her life for a second time. He offered to give her a place to live in exchange for her running missions with him. Hunting demons. Her stay with Dante unofficially ended during a mission to a place called the Void via his turning against her and the others they were with, which she later found out was because of a deal he made with Lucifer for a woman named Rime's freedom. She stayed at Dante's place to 'think things over' after hearing this news. She called Marie Raven, headmistress of Westchester School for Gifted Youngsters, at that time and set up a meeting to enroll her in classes so she could get her GED. She left the small arsenal she'd accumulated in her bedroom closet at Dante's and moved to the school where she has been staying ever since. While there she encountered Augustus Murphy who seemed very curious about what had happened to the Loch area of the park. Having seen a few things about a year earlier and sensing that Augustus had no ulterior motives for his investigation, X told him what she had seen there so far. He was intrigued and though they had differing opinions on the matter, X helped Augustus investigate what had made the trees grow as they had in the Loch. It turned out that it was a girl named Sarah Ward with the ability to make plants grow whom X interrogated until Aithne Morrigan, a friend from the mission at the Void, showed up. Apparently Sarah's protector. How she had known X was there is still a mystery to her. After they had found out what had happened to the trees in the Loch, X told Augustus that she would no longer be working with him because he took unnecessary risks with his life. The truth was she wasn't an investigator. She's a killer through and through. Can't argue the facts. After a night in the Danger Room with Dazzler, also known as Alison Blaire, she found herself telling Ms. Raven, the aforementioned headmistress of the school, all about who she was. She conveniently left out the fact that she still planned on killing people once she left the school. At the current moment her mission is very simple. Set up a base of operations for herself where she can be contacted by people who run in darker circles to kill the corrupt masterminds of the world. And anyone else she deems that it is necessary to kill. The corrupt, the weak to her mind. The ones that go against the survival of the species.
