Hi, I'm uke (OOH-kay). warm smile

About me

I consider myself a Switch, mostly submissive (80%) but occasionally Dominant (20%). I'm exploring what meaning BDSM, and particularly submission, has in my life. Being here at SOI is part of that process, a tool I use to learn and explore.

Although for a long time I did not scene online, this has changed and now I'm open to playing again, but with a difference. In the past, I limited my play to only those things I would do in RT. Online was to be a simulation, as realistic as possible.

This time, I'm treating online as an opportunity to do things I might be too scared to do in RT, or which my RT constraints would make it unwise to do. I'm going to try to push my limits in imagination.

This doesn't mean that I will have no limits, or that I will submit to anyone with a Capital Letter In Their Name. I still like to know who I'm playing with and build up some trust before I agree to scene. And I still expect to negotiate limits and have them respected.

That's why I haven't listed a long set of likes and dislikes on this page. As we get to know each other, I'm sure we'll get around to that.

About the name "uke"

The name "uke" comes from the Japanese martial art of Aikido. The person practicing a technique is called nage (NAH-gay) or thrower, and his or her practice partner is called uke, or receiver. Both are active roles; neither is passive. Together, they learn to do a dangerous thing safely.

About RT

In RT, I am a man in my early 50's, 5'10", heavyset, with dark blonde mostly greying hair, and a full beard and mustache. I am married, and my wife knows I'm kinky but isn't into it herself. She doesn't know I'm here, so if I have to disappear from a scene without warning, please understand.

I feel bad about keeping this part of me secret from her, but it's a compromise solution to play here rather than seek play partners in RT.

Respectfully,
"uke"
