She had been a runaway and a loner in her mortal life in 15th century Venice, since she ran away from her noble Home, as her blossoming body had been found too tempting to be saved from abuse.

What a rich joke, she had to make her living by selling that young firm body to those willing to pay for it,
until one customer paid her with a special gift on her 18th birthday,
a dark gift, preserving her visible features for centuries in the condition of that birthday, but making it go on living through these centuries until now.
