He got fed up with all the hassles of business, the labor disputes, the political manouvering for power, dealing with vendors, and just quit one day.
He had money saved but it wouldn't last forever. He was way over-educated, he knew all aspects of design and construction of buildings. Todd was tired of the whole shebang.
