How to explore all the currently active chat rooms with the Hot.

As soon as you've logged on to SOI you'll usually enter the soi chat room. If you want to have an overview of all the currently active chatrooms - and all the visitors in them - you can proceed as follows:

1. Click the [Hot] above the text box and it will open a form with a list of all the currently active rooms - and all the visitors in them.
2. Click the room link if you want to enter a specific room on the list.

How to explore all the active SOI chat rooms with the SeeAll.

As soon as you've logged on to SOI you'll usually enter the soi chat room. If you want to have an overview of all the conversations which are going on in all the currently active rooms  - then you can proceed as follows:

1. Click the [SeeAll] right above the text box and it will open a form - very similar to a chat room - from which you can follow all the conversations which are going on in all the currently active chat rooms.
2. Click the room link if you want to enter a specific room on the list.

Note 1
Although there is a text box in the form - you're not supposed to post something there. Use the Talk/Listen button only to update the form.

Note 2
The [SeeAll] is available in every SOI room.

Note 3
Only free and public rooms echo their conversation to the SeeAll - private rooms do not!

To change room with the Find

If you are in a chat room and you want to change to another room of which you know the name (room ID) - then you can use the Find box and button  to the left of the text box.

1. Enter the room name into the Find box (a room name never contains more then 8 characters)
2. Click the Find button

Note 1
A room's name is always displayed right after the room title at the top of the room -  enclosed by parentheses.

Note 2
If you enter a nickname into the box instead - you'll automatically be transferred to the room in which that person last visited.

Add your favorite room links

If you have a number of favorite rooms, you can display them as regular links. That way all your favorite rooms will be only a mouse click away.

1. Click the [Controls] and go to your control room.
2. Click the [Favorite links] and it will open a form.
3. Add a room by entering a room name (ID) in the text box
4. Click the button

SOI's sister sites

The SOI management has given some groups of citizens the opportunity to set up their own sites. These sites often try to attract visitors with special lifestyles - like the gor- or gay lifestyle.  The sister sites are detached from SOI and managed by a governor and staff, all of them SOI citizens. The management takes care of- and grants membership applications for the site. The fees for the membership however still go to SOI.

As a member of SOI or any of these sister sites you can move freely between the various sites. You'll visit a sister site as a common visitor, but:

1. You can visit them with your own nickname and nickname colors. Just log on to the site with nickname@site, where nickname has to be replaced by one of your registered nicknames and site with the site extension of the site of which you're a member:

• bwr if you're a member of the Castle of Beware
• gor if you're a member of the Gor
• isle if you're a member of the Isle of Pain and Pleasure
• jag if you're a member of the Justice Alliance of Gor
• mansion if you're a member of the Mansion
• ns if you're a member of  Night Sky
• resort if you're a member of the Rainbow Resort
• soe if you're a member of the State of Enchantment Portcullis
• soi if you're a member of the State of Insanity
• war if you're a member of the Warrior's Adventure Realm

Example: Teaser@soi  (password is your usual SOI password)

2. You can even move directly from a room at one site to a room at another.
   • All currently active rooms of SOI sister sites are displayed on the [Hot] as well - all you've to do is to click the room link and you'll be transferred to that room.
   • Enter: roomname@site into the Find box, and replace roomname with the name of a room at the specific site and replace site with the site extension mentioned above for example like: tor@jag.

   Note 1
   If you make a visit from your home site to a room at a sister site, your nickname automatically will get your home site extension. My nickname at any of the sister sites would for example be Teaser^@soi  with my colors still intact.

Note 2
If you click the [Control] or [Mail] control in a room at another site, you'll be moved to your own control- or mail room. You'll even be notified as usual as soon as you've received an email or message.
