Tanji of Acrion

Raised by her father in a soldier's environment. He was a hard, strict man...fair, but offering little in the way of emotional support.
Tanji learned the ways of the blade and fighting easily, naturally inclined to it. She is an expert with sword and dagger, preferring to fight with one in each hand. She is also skilled at hand-to-hand combat, and fairly accurate at throwing blades.
Being a woman though, she found no place to honorably use her skills, no army or garrison would hire her on. She feels decidedly unsuited to being a "housewife".
She's had a couple of relationships, especially in her younger days as a teenager, but none that were lasting or serious. She doesn't feel that "love" is any kind of real force in the world, though deep down inside she aches for it.

Shortly after finding herself in the land of Acrion, she was offered a position in the Duke's Personal Guard....if she could pass the three tests. The Test of Arms, the Test of Discipline, and the Test of Obedience. She passed each of them, and was accepted among them. Upon her pledge of loyalty to the Duke, he placed upon her body a permanent mark of her new position...Guard Wyvern. With the mark come new powers, and also constraints. And with it, came a realization to both herself and the Duke, that the tests she needs to pass are not over...for either of them.
