Ask your spirit... how to breathe
In the fullness of the day
How to have the courage
To belong to yourself
How to break from the foolish
How to find equanimity
Do not think this is idealistic
Or a hopeless quest
Beneath life’s changes
See the passing flux
With a determination and mindful eye
For it is through one’s vision,
The wise becomes separate
Yet bonds with the group
It is then the spirit connects
Itself to joy and offers
An infinite energy
Where humanity’s blessing live.
