The Present

So much for loyalty. 10 years of service and where does she find herself? On indefinite “leave of absence”. Excessive use of force. HA what did they know. It wasn’t excessive. It was just enough to make that bastard tell her what she wanted to know. How can that be…”excessive”? She left the bureau and went to visit her father. She’d not seen him since her mothers funeral a few years before. She and her father did not see eye to eye on well, anything really. She asked about the guy. She had known her father would keep an eye on him and she was not disappointed. She had followed as much as she could, but she didn’t have the connections that he did. And no, she was not above using them to get what she wanted, and in this case? What she wanted was information.

A visit with her father was followed by a visit to some “friends of the family” well one friend in particular. She had felt badly for not keeping in touch with the woman, but it would not have been wise all things considered. She left the visit with a small token in hand…and she set out for the city. In search of someone, the one person who had made more of a difference in her life than anyone else. Would she find him? Well...she certainly hoped so.
