So, you want to know about me, hmmm... well, fair's fair... I moved to the SF Bay Area in May '99 years ago from the Pacific Northwest... before that I grew up in Los Angeles, or the the San Fernando Valley to be more specific... yes, that Valley... the land of plastic people and the malls that call to them... no, I don't have the accent, nor did I ever have the accent... I can, however, do a remarkable impression that I pull out at such times that I wish to send people into convulsions... did I mention I'm sadistic?

I graduated in May of '99 from a private liberal arts university in the Pacific Northwest with a double degree in Business Leadership (Management Emphasis) and English Creative Writing... I quit my work on campus as a Security Patrol Shift Supervisor a few months before that after an on-the-job injury that hurt my knee and back, and I needed to concentrate on the last months of school... it was an interesting job, and I miss it... the co-workers were great and so were the bosses... perhaps one day I'll find another environment as good, though my present one isn't too bad.

I manage an apartment complex for a living... this is the career path I switched to after my wrists died... I had been doing graphic design and web development/programming prior to that... perhaps someday I'll be able to get back to that, but certainly not anytime soon with present technology... a year and a half of disability is enough for me, thank you. I currently live where I work... let's see how long this place lasts... wheeeee!

I love the outdoors, from just lying out on the hood of a car on a clear night to free-solo rock climbing and just about anything in between... unfortunately the previously mentioned joint problems keep much of this to a minimum, though I am hoping to get back into horseback riding very soon...

I have a passion for Native American Studies, and reading in general... My favorite authors are JRR Tolkien, Ayn Rand, Edgar Allan Poe, and Shakespeare...

Music has always been in my life... I play the piano, trombone, Native American drum and flute, as well as sing... there is always music in my head, sometimes to my annoyance when the Spice Girls gets stuck in there by some mechanism I have yet to refine... my favorite song will always be Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata, but U2's Mysterious Ways is close second, for both of those are very much me... I listen to just about everything that's musical and good, which covers a wide range... I prefer hard rock, but listen to just about everything else as well...


I indulge in the joys of role-playing... something I was introduced to in college... I've played in a few LARPs (live-action role playing) based on White Wolf's universe: Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, etc... I've also done some AD&D (I know, it's just D&D again, with the 3rd edition out)... I've played more comical games such as TfOS (Teenagers from Outer Space) and BESM... Iwas in a game of Amber, and I'd like to start a game of Everway someday... I do roleplay online as well in bwr@soi and in Amber&Chaos@soi... my most-played characters are Night Heart, Danse Macabre, Moon Shadow, Christine Deveaux, and Ms. Tiyanu Daekawa-Rhys... soon to come: sacrifice and Kat'reena De'Haaren

I've also rediscovered do-it-yourself projects... since I have an over-abundance of spare time, I've been making things, building things, and otherwise drooling over power tools and such... I wish I had a house to really go to town on, but for now, since I rent, I'm working mostly on things that are portable... or things for the property I manage... or cages for my animals

oh, yes, my animals... I have a lot of them... there's the 4 cats (only two are technically mine, and then there's a couple more that are sorta mine but don't live with me anymore)... I have a Shih-Tzu puppy named Typhon, and yes that is after a typhoon since he's a natural disaster in a compact, easy-to-carry size... and I breed chinchillas as well... so there are about 20-30 of those around these days.
