As I said, I am rather new to the anime scene, though I have been making up for lost time... so far some of my favorites are Ghost in the Shell, Wind of Amnesia, Vampire Princess Miyu, and Oh, My Goddess!... I've also enjoyed a large amount of Rurouni Kenshin, which a couple of my friends are utterly devoted to and quick to encourage my proselytization to... El Hazard was great... Tenchi Muyo is always good for quick, braindead fun... there are a lot of others that I'd recommend to anyone... Ninja Scroll, My Neighbor Totoro, Macross Plus, Video Girl, Ai, Mononoke-hime... sheesh, ok, so I like most of the anime that I've seen...

oh, and amine videos rock! I have a few friends who make them, and there's more all over the web... perhaps before terribly long I'll be able to post some links...

An added bonus of all this anime watching is an ever-growing Japanese vocabulary... I've also collected a few Japanese nicknames like Hitomi, Chuushin, Kawaii, and Himie... I really do enjoy Japanese culture... and am lucky to have several friends who are a combination of Asian, fluent in Japanese, lived in Japan, or know various martial arts... their insights have been most valuable to me... I'd have missed so much if I didn't have them to ask questions or point things out to me...

I don't have a large gallery on anime pics assembled yet, but I do have a few that I can share...

Saitou Hajime from Rurouni Kenshin is a captivating character... too bad I haven't found pics of Kenshin's Sensei yet, or I'd have those, too... for now, though, here's Saitou:
