For 19 years [just turned 20 on March 1st!] Nicholas Riggs was the black sheep of the family. Or so he thought. He had been in and out of the Juvenile Center for years, smart yet twisted, having been skipped up from 2nd to 4th grade when younger, ending up only graduating from high school at 19. Violence, drugs, extortion...crime in the suburbs has its own Clockwork Orange variant nowadays.
Nick was his development's Alex.
With a mother and father mostly absent his whole life, and utterly focused on money and attainment and travel and self-entertainment, he didn't really care what happened to him or his family name, or any of that. Didn't plan on breeding. Been fucking older women for years, and liked it that way: they had money, their own places, and appreciated a fit young man with patience and alpha male intensity.
The only joy in his life was his love-hate relationship with his sister, Dolly. Mom always doted on him, dad always on her. She was older, but came off more dizzy, a dancer and princess by trade.
Or so he thought.
Now he has just done a short bid in an adult correctional facility, then looted houses after the wildfires in southern California, then went to Mexico and did a little stretch there. The happy-go-lucky skaterat that was a big fish in a small pond, is now out in the ocean. Adrift.
One chance remains. One anchor to something that approaches reality, before spinning off into the darkness.
The sister he fell in love with. The sister he committed acts of lust with. The one he left when he was unable to handle the guilt and taboo of their relationship. The one who was never his sister by blood.
Meredith Riggs' parting gift to both of us before leaving the country?
The news that Dolly is her child from before meeting Thomas Riggs, from when she was a whore. And he was not her child, only his father's. They were brother and sister in every way but blood, and lovers in every way but admittedly.
Nick is 5'11" and weighs 190 pounds. He only has two people in his life that he can tolerate anymore: his best friend Click, and Dolly.
Chances are, he WILL NOT like you.
Nothing personal.
Yet.
Nick in action.
