I do, a great deal of the time, because I can't hear what you're saying to me. My hearing was taken from me when I was twenty-four.
No surgery, no procedure, no alternative medicine has ever been able to give it back.
Just shows how wicked karma can be.

The world at my feet, natural talent, and more money than I knew what to do with. People wanted to be with me, be like me, they begged me to use them.
So I did.

Don't feel sorry for me, though. I'm one of the lucky ones. I can speak clearly, so that by my voice, you'd never know. I've learned sign, though it's not primarily what I use to communicate. It's still natural to answer back with speech. Only instead of hearing you, I have to lip read.
I can still hear the music in my head, I still know what things sound like. And I've found that even the simple process of learning a new city can be an adventure.
