Magi A. Weston

Smiling as He sits, drawing on His cigar and sipping a brandy. He speaks after exhaling a cloud of gray smoke with an obvious brogue...

"I suppose ye'd like Me to start at the beginning, however tha' causes a problem in itself...I no longer know where or when it is."

Laughing...

"Before ye think Me daft, let Me tell ye what I know. I was born in the Earth year of 1326 in Scotland. I was the son of a female necromancer and a male demon. My Mother hae this strange plan to give birth to a demon, so He could rise in power in the politics of what Humans called "Hell", so that when she died, she could hae power in Hell. Well, unfortunately I did not feel like playing along with her game. She taught Me the ways of the Craft and Magick far to well and when she tried to end My life at the age of 16, she found I was faster.

I wandered about for a good eight years, until I found the realm of Beware, and My Father, Rune Weston. There I walked the Logrus and the Pattern to learn and perfect My skills as both a Prince of Amber and a Chaos Lord. I learned I am a direct decendant of the ruling line, the Great Grandson of Merlin himself. In such environments, My skills in casting and swordplay improved greatly, until I was well respected and well feared. It was then that loss struck Me again as My Father had died and gone to worlds other than these. Saddened, I wandered about the realms."

"Now this where the interesting part comes in, as Amber and Chaos touch all worlds, and I learned to walk in My homeland, I too can touch all worlds...and all times. I would visit various times and places and had My favorites. I have been on fishing boats in the North Atlantic to see the Aurora Borealis, watched the Pyramids of Giza being designed, and screamed battle cries across the steppes of Russia with the Cossacks. However two times specifically struck My fancy. One in Washington DC in the late 20th century and one in New York City about the same time.

In the Earth years of the 1980's, I found Myself in New York City, specifically in an area called 'Midtown Manhattan'. As I was looking for work I found Myself in front of a building with '54' emblazoned on the canopy. This struck Me as strange as the building was between two others of much higher numbers. I walked in past two men at the door and looked about. I was lucky enough I was dressed properly, in a black suit and black silk shirt, but did not know how to handle this 'club' as it was called. I turned and saw a small man flanked by two large guards. He looked to them and nodded as they rushed Me. Being well trained I backed up and let them charge, then tripped the larger of the two, setting My sights on the other one. After knocking him unconsciousness, it was easy to take care of the other, who was now getting up, but would not after I proceeded to break his arm. With both guards howling in pain, the small man came to Me and said 'You're hired.' I balked and asked 'First ye jump Me, now ye pay Me?' He smiled and said he liked My 'style' and introduced himself as Steve Rubell. Well, We had a drink and talked and after some twisting and bribing on His part, I accepted. I stayed on as his guard for five years, learning and seeing all that 'night life' had to offer, until the IRS raided '54', but that was another story. At that point, it was time to move on again.

I moved forward to the 1990's in Washington DC and found Myself at a place called Langley, Virginia...CIA headquarters. This period I had studied so I knew what to expect. I found Myself in a boardroom in full dress uniform with Major's clusters, getting ready to deploy to some place in the Middle East called Iraq. It was due to my four years there, that I was recently recalled and reactivated (and promoted to Colonel), which let to my long absence and eventual return here. Thanks to my knowledge of world events, I hae given my more 'wayward days' a rest and recently accepted a position with Shadow City University in the Politcal Science Department teaching International Economics and Global Political Thinking."

Smiling as He rises and dons His sunglasses...

"I dare think I bent ye ear enough. If'n ye want t' know more...drop on by sometime. Good luck and safe travels!"
