Born in Casper, Wyoming to Jeremiah and Rose Henderson, the youngest of three children and the only daughter.

Kailee had a happy childhood, time spent with her two brothers, Hank and Jesse, tomboy of sorts, a lot of her time spent roaming the land that she lived on and the surrounding lands. As a child she never knew that there was anything different about her, though animals did seem to be drawn to her, it wasnt until she was seven, that she knew that there was something different, but even then, to a child is was hard to comprehend.

It was a cold early spring day, alone in the lands that bordered her own family ranch, loosing her footing, falling down a creek bed, breaking her leg in the fall. Alone, frightened and in pain, even more so as her call for help was heard, but not by one that she had expected, not human in any sense of the word. Her surprise could not be measured by any standards, frightened at first, as the grey wolf was there before her, words of reassurance heard in her mind, telling her that she was special and must be protected, that he would stay until help did come. It was the first time that she had ever heard an animal speak in her mind, something that she never knew that she was capable of, she only knew, on the level of a child that she felt some sort of connection to them. He stayed with her, keeping her warm, until her brothers and father had found her location, lopping off into the night before they did come, not wishing to become the hunted as many of his kind were.

She never uttered a word to family about the one that had helped her that day, a friendship a bond had been formed with the wolf, spending time with him and other animals that lived on the lands. As she grew older, her "gift" did seem to grow, the more she could understand the animals and the more they could understand her.

She never once mentioned this, never once to family, she knew that they would not be accepting of it, that she would be considered insane and locked away. Over the years,it became harder and harder, animals following her about, knowing that she could communicate with them, curious about the human that could do as such. Years did pass, and there came a time, when she knew that she could not longer hide it, rather than raise too many brows, rather than to answer questions that she did not wish to answer, only one idea came to mind, to move away, to a large city, where she could blend in, where she would not stick out, only one city came to mind, New York City.

Despite her family's feelings on the move, she did make it, she had never been away from home before, never away from family. Packing up her belongings, leaving behind those that she did love, not only her family, but "friends" back in Wyoming, it was the hardest thing that she had ever had to do. Luck was with her, Denise hiring her to work at Urban Jungle, her one course of study back in Wyoming had paid off, a job as an animal groomer.Kailee is here in New York, trying to find her way, trying to blend into the background in a city with so many. Alone for the first time in her life, without family and friends, overwhelming at times, hoping that she did not stick out, sometimes feeling like she is some sort of freak. Kind hearted, not used to big city ways, not even sure of exactly what she could do with her "gift" never taking it beyond speaking with animals, though the touch of their fur does seem to soothe her. Used to wide open spaces, sometimes feeling overwhelmed in closed in spaces, for the first time in her life carrying a gun, though she was brought up learning how to use them, though she knows she could never hurt another, but a promise made to her father that she would carry one always.

A few friends made, perhaps the city will not be too bad, finding out that there are others that have gifts and abilities, feeling less like a freak, though sometimes in her mind that was a hard feeling to shake. What will happen here, she has no idea, only time will tell, but she is bound and determined to find her way here in the city.
