Isaac “Ike” Atwood
Race: Human – Dreamer
Nationality: American
Age: Mid-thirties
Occupation: Adventurer, explorer and heir
Celeb: Bradley Cooper
Strengths:
Dreamer Ike is one of the few human beings on the planet that when he sleeps he can travel to the Dreamlands of Earth. While he has had a series of adventures there he only recalls fragments at best during waking hours which now and again aid him in his misadventures. Sailor Background- Ike served in the United States navy and got his first taste of globe-trotting doing so. After leaving the service he continued to travel to foreign ports and has become a rough and tumble man with a salty edge. He’s picked up a rudimentary grasp of a few languages along the way but is hardly fluent in most of them.
Archie- Trained pet monkey, nuff said.
Heir – As fate would have it Ike’s bloodline stretched across the ocean from Kingsport, Massachusetts to jolly old England. After returning home after a recent exploit he was informed that one of his distant British relatives had recently passed away and left an estate to him. That’s why he’s in London.
Weaknesses:
Deep sleeper- Because of his connection to the world of dreams Ike has a tendency to oversleep or even keep slumbering while the world goes crazy around him. He is often very groggy and disoriented when he first wakes and has often been accused of needing ‘too much’ sleep. Now and again he gets places in the real world and the Dreamlands mixed up.
Over-Confident-Ike tends to see himself in a larger than life fashion and reacts to situations in what the British would say is a stereotypical American way – lots of bluster, punch things as necessary and take too many risks. This often lands him in trouble.
Family Curse? – Mr. Atwood is not really sure what this all about. A few older folk in the village where his new estate is have warded off the evil eye when he is around, whisper that there is something wrong with Atwood manor, talk of ill forgotten crypts and some hogwash about terrors that infect both the estate and the bastard line in Kingsport. He didn’t pay them a lot of mind nor stick around the idyllic English countryside for long. Instead he headed off to London to see what sort of trouble err… adventure he might be able to uncover.
