History:

She was born and raised in Boston, her parents of mid income status.
Her father an apprentice with William Gaston's law firm.
Her mother a school teacher.
Both were killed during a campaign event for the then running William Gaston for the Massachusetts Senate.

Recent history:

Wealthy Widow from back East, her late Husband being William Gaston Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Upon her arrival to Dodge City:

Given the amount of times the stage had come to a stop because of weather and road it had been an endless trek into the muck as it was freed.
She did wonder if the woman having gone into labor was fairing well.
Quite astonishing the good nature of the couple that had gladly taken her in for the birthing process so the stage could resume its intended path.

As the stage entered Dodge City a soft sigh escaped the fullness of her lips.
She as well as one other escaped the close confines of the stage when it pulled to a stop. Deep blue eyes roamed the street freely.
This was not Boston to be sure the frills and fancy was scarce or so it seemed in that glance about the place as she made her way to the #r-dboard(Boardinghouse & Eatery).
A crew had been sent ahead and had been instructed to fix up the old structure at the end of town, all correspondence and funding had been done via the mail service, it had been a slow process to be sure, nearly six months time had passed before she had finished with all the annoying details of making the escape of Boston herself.
Anthony and Joe were part of her family by marriage them being the sons of Williams brother.
Her need of help with her own plan of escape had prompted the end result of the two being sent ahead and it was understood that eventually they would make their way wherever they decided to go.
Both being young men it was arranged by Florine for their expenses to be taken care of during their stay and when the time came they wished to depart on their own adventure enough funding would be given to each insuring they would not only get to their chosen destination but have enough to get established in either a boardinghouse or hotel for a short time until they found employment.

True this was not Boston.
It was however a fresh start out from under the watchful eye of her husbands family. Quite angry they had all been when he had left everything to her in the reading of his will, the worst of the lot being his mother.
It was made perfectly clear the woman would do everything within her power to make Florine's life in Boston a living hell. Why had it been so very hard for them to understand why William had been so kind in his parting wishes?
Had she not been a dedicated wife, ever present when he need her be for his endless string of public appearances? ... Yes, yes she had.
And had she not always been the picture of perfection he had demanded she be? Yes, yes she had.
Not that she minded, it would be expected that one of his station would need such attention to detail from the woman at his arm.

To the dismay of his mother they had been very much in love in the beginning but true it had faded as his career in politics began to flourish.
It had gotten to the point the only time they spent together was at functions for his career, parties, appearances and the such.
And it would be at such an appearance the foundation of her life would vanish beneath her feet.
A single shot rang out and he was taken from her.
A scramble of footfalls to catch the assassin as she crumbled to the ground her husbands body against her own.
His final words came with his last expelled breath ... "I will never stop loving you"
She need not ever and would not ever mention his name, not here and as far as anyone knew she was Miss Florine Amustat a woman from Boston who had never married.
Nor would she ever be married again.
With marriage came extended family and simply the thought left a horrid taste in her mouth.

Pass no quick judgments on the lady for she's simply human and with that comes secrets of a delicate nature.
