The Lost Twin, eldest of his mother's fourth pregnancy

Torn from his mother's womb while she lay there wracked with the pain of childbirth. His father ripping the babe from her body and taking it rapidly away while she was incoherent. The elder twin, adept before birth, had kept his presence hidden from the probes of his vicious father, leaving his parents to expect one exceptionally strong child, not two.
When his father returned from disposing of the newborn babe, his rage knew no bounds as his wife cradled the second infant, born in his absence, in her arms. Unable to dispose of the second twin, his wife protecting the child as she tried in vain with all his siblings. His father waited many years before selling the boy to slavers, never revealing the presence of the first lost twin.

Left abandoned alongside a dark road in the Black Forest surrounding his ancestral home. The mind of the infant stronger than his father expected, searched the night's shadows. A silent cry was sent into the darkness, reaching for a receptive mind. Finding what he seeks, the babe draws the Chosen One closer, leading him and his group through the night until they stumbled upon the child. The caravan continued into the night, crossing the trails through Northern Beware, and vanishing from the realm, taking the babe with them.

The Caravan eventually reached its destination, the child cared for by One of their own. The leader turns the child over to a silk merhchant. Raised as the bastard son of the merchant, his life was not nearly as harsh as his forgotten siblings. Enduring the taunts of other children, he grew up an outcast in the village of his new home. His adoptive father saw the often vacant looks that haunted the boy's disturbing green eyes. Reapeatedly questioning his adoptive family as to his true origin, the boy received no answers to explain the voices that haunted him.

Raised as if one of their own, no matter the wishes of suspicious villagers, the boy was taught the ways of these distant people. Easily able to hear their thoughts, especially those focused on him, he delighted in watching the unsuspecting suddenly begin to follow His wishes, instead of their own. Using his influence over his father's mind, he procured for himself training of the mind and body as well. In this way, he prepared himself for the journey he knew he must someday take.

Early one morning, as he rose from a distrubing slumber, a great joy filled the voices that were always with him. On this day, the day of his unknown father's death, he determined it was time to find those so familiar voices. Leaving no explanation, the young man walked out into the dawn's light and followed the hint of a trail gleaned from his adoptive father's mind. Many months did he travel... searching... following the voices that led him on. His mind kept closed, hidden, the trick learned before birth and perfected with continued practice, He finally discovers his lost family. Arriving in Beware, he watches silently, learning all he can... all the while wondering if he shall be an outcast here as well.
