Dreven Christian Grant

Childhood
Born Cody Wyoming, raised there until he was eighteen. His mother died when he was 11, then raised by his father, an alcoholic. Dreven had two younger half siblings by a different mother, Diana. Their names were Andrea and James. His father never married Diana, and when they split she took the younger sister and brother with her. Dreven was 17 when they left. Andrea was barely 6 and James was 3. James mother had been a quiet, kind woman. He fully believed his father’s neglect drove his mother to her illness. Diana was the opposite, foul mouthed, brazen and intensely sexual. Toward the end of her relationship with his father, she in fact, while drunk tried to sleep with Dreven once. The phone rang and she was called into work the late shift at the diner before anything could happen, and Drev often wonders what he would have done if things had progressed. Once he was 18 he was out of his father’s home he never looked back.

Adult Life
He enlisted straight out of high school in 2001 into the Marines. Starting off as a grunt infantrymen and then later becoming a member of 1st Force Recon. He served in Iraq three times in 2003, 2004, and 2005 before finally getting out. His first deployment, while in combat was relatively light, especially compared to his years with 1st Force and the heavy situations he encountered in his later deployments. His early career he was a model Marine, as well as young idealist who always did “the right thing.” He married a stripper from the Body Shop in San Diego and had a little girl with her. Deployments were hard on his wife, Kimmie, and on their daughter Hailey. Before he left in 2005 he had an affair with a close friend of his, Aiyisha, he had met outside the circles he and his wife traveled. He admitted this to Kimmie and she forgave him. However he then spent his last night before deployment in Aiyisha’s bed, going back on his promise never to do it again. The floodwaters had broke, and 2005 was a year of great change for the young man. He became harder, colder, and more callous. Years of pent up desire, frustration and rage broke free and forever changed the personality of Dreven. He drove friends away. He slept with women, girl friends, wives, whoever. Kimmie and the Haley were gone before he returned from his final deployment. The divorce was final within six months. His marks for his final year were so bad he couldn’t re-enlist. He got out and found a bounty hunter to take him in. After two years he set up his own business, and since then has been a successful hunter. His personal life is a sad common tale. Drinks often, no real friends to speak of, and a string of meaningless women, his only focus in life his work, and his daughter who he sees once a month.

Description
Dreven is on the tall side, standing an inch or two over six feet. He has dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, and what might be called ‘boyish’ features, that are offset by the hardness of his eyes. He can be quite charming when he wants, and doesn’t mind playing people. His body is lean and muscular. He owns a basic but nice apartment. He does tend to pour money into luxuries like his vehicles. He owns a 2007 Corsica and a MZ 1000 Motorcycle. He has several small scars, two from his time in the Marines, with one large garish scar on his stomach where he was wounded while bringing down one of his early marks. Dreven tends to drink a bit too much whiskey on certain occasion, but when he’s planning on bedding a woman or taking down a mark he stays relatively sober. He is good at his job however, and despite the tendency to bring the mark in needing medical care, they are always alive and he is doing well financially.
