Deavon was born and grew up in LA, his father wanted him to be a lawyer and his mother a doctor. They had high hopes for their son, but Deavon had a gift that frustrated his parents. He knew how to work the earth, and create art out of the earth, from softest clay to the hardest granite.
When Deavon was younger his parents would encourage this phase their son was going through. "It beats him doing drugs or hanging out with the wrong people" They would say, even though little did they know Dev would wind up doing both in his youth. His parents had high hopes in their son. He went to the finest schools and colleges money could buy and although he didn't become either lawyer or doctor he did become a world class architect. Over the course of time, Deavon's vision of work grew to the point where he was making plans to change the landscape of the cities across the US one building at a time.

That was before one of the buildings he had a hand in creating was brought down in an earthquake in San Fransisco. The investigation proved it wasn't Deavon's fault, the contractors used by the commission had used sub grade materials in the building, but the damage was done. Deavon lost confidence in his abilities to build and eventually left the architectural world. As they say when one door closes........Deavon fell back into the one thing that gave him any sense of purpose. He returned to shaping the earth. Soon after his parents, dismayed by the weak will of their son giving up his 'professional' career, disowned him. Estranged, Deavon decided to sell his ritzy LA home and commit to the earth, to his craft entirely. He didn't take anything with him, just got into his truck and hit the road.

That was ten years ago and even though Deavon has had some success in selling his art, he has gone through his money, had sold his fancy truck and most of his equipment to the point he is living out of an old panel truck while he wanders the states.

Eventually his travels brought him back to California, but not LA. He felt he could never go back there. Instead he stumbled upon the commune in Eden Valley. It seems as good a place as any to stay, at least for a little while.
