When he killed his brother Abel, he was cursed to be a wanderer, forever adrift in the world, but that was only the beginning of it. The spilling of blood would be with him eternally, it would be part of him, feeding him, nourishing him. And on each victim that became his sustenance, he left the Mark of Cain. He has lived almost forever, the Son of Adam, the Son of Eve, the slayer of his brother, the first murderer, the first vampire.
If this is true, as he feels his lifespan and curse show. he would be the wellspring, the original fountain of tainted blood. It would be from him and his curse that they gain their condition, and like him, become creatures who prey upon humankind. Through the thousands of years since he was cursed, He hasn't yet found a way out. He does not know if there is something or someone out there yet who will end his seemingly eternal unholy life, perhaps it lurks just around the corner.
Some of those who come after him have developed weaknesses, imperfections. Silver, sunlight, garlic, these things hurt some, but not all, but they don't effect him. The farther removed from the First Blood, the more susceptible to these afflictions some vampires seem to be. They have also, over the generations, evolved, becoming stronger, faster, more separated from humankind, more distinct from the mortals.
Though there now may be many, comparatively speaking, in the beginning there was but one.
Lesser Powers:
Improved Strength and Speed
Cain is quite strong due to his age, however, when compared to others of great age, he is not as strong.
Improved Senses
Heightened Endurance and Resistance
Cain has the ability to absorb great amounts of damage or punishment and shrug it off. Perhaps this too is due to his age. Comparatively speaking, he can take much more than he can dish out.
Mesmerization with Eyes
Compulsion
Moderate Power:
Modified Daywalking (See Weaknesses)
Master Powers:
Resist Silver
Cain isn't effected by silver, perhaps because of his unique curse, or perhaps due to his incredible age
Human/Lycan Servant
Create Vampire
Weaknesses:
Holy Articles: Religious articles such as crosses and stars of David effect Cain perhaps more so than other vampires due to his particular Curse. Religious items Based in faiths other than Christian or Judaism, have no particular effect on Cain.
Sunlight: Sunlight doesn't effect Cain as it does some vampires. Though he isn't by definition a daywalker, he isn't as adversely effected by daylight as others. Sunlight makes Cain very uncomfortable. It has the ability to make him ill, weak, it gives him severe headaches. The brighter the sun, the worse the effect. There is very minimal effect on him during the very early or very late day, but between noon and 5 or 6 in the evening, it would be nearly crippling to him
Compromised Strength:
As mentioned before, in spite of his great age, Cain is not as strong as other ancient vampires. Although he can take a great deal of damage, he isn't capable of dealing out as much.
Cain cannot fly, call shadows, use telepathy on other vampires, call animals, cause a deep trance or mass hypnosis, alter memories, move without sound or stand perfectly still, or utilize any of the bloodline specific powers. These powers and others are developments over the ages that he does not benefit from.
