Aaron Priest
Aaron Priest was a writer-director who’d struggled for years in the cutthroat world of the movie industry until he finally got a break with a hit film a couple of years ago.It had cemented his reputation and paid off all his old debts and then some. But after the initial euphoria of his new cult celebrity status had died down, Tinseltown’s treadmill merely put even more pressure on Aaron to deliver another hit. Struck down with writer’s block and growing anxiety about his own talent, Aaron had missed deadline after deadline and avoided his producer’s increasingly concerned calls. Finally the stress became too much, and Aaron snapped. Bundling a few possessions into a hold-all along with his laptop and credit-cards, he skipped town, not telling anyone where he was heading.
He found himself in the City, hoping that a change of environment would loosen up those creative juices and he would be inspired to get to work on his new screenplay.
But Aaron’s fatal flaw is his inability to say ‘no’ and the ease in which he can be lead into temptation. Will he be able to complete his next script or will the vices and distractions of the City drag him back into his old habits?
